Supporting children with Diabetes across India

Samatvam (http://samatvam.org/#/diabetes)  is an incredible charity that treats and manages diabetes and other metabolic disorders. SPTR have been supporting the organisation for a number of years particularly with their research and care of children and young people living with diabetes.

There are estimated to be nearly 150,000 children with diabetes in India and this number is increasing with around 16,000 new diagnosis every year. For these children being diagnosed with Diabetes is life changing. At SPTR we support Samatvam to care for these children through medical centres, day care centres and diabetes hospitals across India.

SAMATVAM‘s vision is to ensure that each and every child with Type 1 Insulin dependent diabetes shall be helped in best possible ways to become a healthy, happy, productive, self-reliant and proud citizen.
